We are into supply of natural gypsum to various cement plants, POP plants, Gypsum-board industries and sanitary ware industries.
We are also sourcing mineral gypsum from J & K Minerals and resizing it in our factory set-up in Udhampur (J & K) India to cater to different requirements of different industries.
While increasing our import of natural gypsum from ~3 Lac tons per annum to ~5 Lac tons per annum, we are also planning to increase our supply of natural gypsum from our J & K , India plant to ~5 Lac tons per annum from indigenous sources by 2020.
We are also planning to explore the possibility of setting up a plant for manufacturing gypsum boards in J & K or Himachal Pradesh. Since the 95% of raw material for gypsum board is Natural Gypsum only, as such to enter into value added products shall definitely give a boost to our company’s growth.
We are planning to add bauxite and lime stone also into our portfolio sourcing it from J & K and supplying it to industries in North India.
India‘s cement manufacturing capacity to increase to >550 million tons per annum by 2019.
Gypsum Board requirement in India is growing at CAGR of 25-30%, present consumption at ~750 Lacs sq. metre.
Gypsum demand is expected to be >425 million tons in next 15 years. Out of this, >385 million tons will be natural gypsum with 80% of this to be met from import.
Local natural gypsum requirement will be ~75 million tons in 15 years by cement industry alone. (~5 million tons per annum)

Total reserves in J & K – ~180 Million Tons (~14%)
Although main reserves of Gypsum are in Rajasthan, the purity of gypsum from Rajasthan is 55-65% where as purity of gypsum from J & K is >85%.
While gypsum from Rajasthan can be used only in cement industry, gypsum from J & K is suitable for gypsum board, PoP as well as White cement and Portland Cement industry.
